Rev. Michael A. Marsh

The Rev. Dr. Michael Anthony Marsh was born in Greensboro, NC and was raised in Charlotte, NC.  He was licensed to preach the gospel in 1998 and has faithfully served in the ministry for the last 26 years. In 2006 he was called to be the senior pastor of Hope Chapel Missionary Church, a new urban church plant that focused on serving the inner city poor and disenfranchised population of Charlotte, NC.  The following year in August 2007 Rev. Marsh was called to be the interim pastor of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church located in Waxhaw, NC. A year and a half later on January 2009 Rev. Marsh was called to be senior pastor at Mount Pisgah and during his tenure the church was fully renovated debt free and many new souls and ministries were added.  He served faithfully at Mount Pisgah until December 2017.  In February of 2018 Rev Marsh began ministry as the senior pastor of Henderson Grove Presbyterian Church and his God given vision for "Spirit-filled" and "Spirit-led" excellence has already caught hold of the congregation to do wonderful things for God’s kingdom!

Rev. Marsh graduated with a diploma from Olympic High School in 1994.  After high school, Rev. Marsh went back to his hometown of Greensboro, NC to attend NC A&T State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2000.  In 2002 he graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary located in Philadelphia, PA with a Master of Arts in Religion concentrating in biblical studies.  Rev. Marsh went on to earn a Graduate Certificate in Teaching (2017) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (2019) with a concentration in secondary education, both from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He also has completed a post-graduate certificate in School Administration (2020). Rev Marsh also earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in School Administration from High Point University in 2024. 

 

Rev. Marsh is also multi-vocational and currently serves as an elementary school principal in the Rowan-Salisbury School system.  He also serves as the Director of the General Studies Department at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary.  Pastor Marsh is a military service veteran, having served two consecutive tours in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his distinguished service.  He currently holds the field grade commissioned officer rank of Major in the US Army Reserves, operating in the field of logistics.  Rev Marsh is also a proud member of Prince Hall Masonry, AEAONMS (Shriners), and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 

Rev. Marsh is wedded to the Mrs. Cassandra L. (Watts) Marsh of Charlotte, NC.  They have been married for 24 years and have two grown children Elijah and Imani. He and his wife currently reside in Charlotte, NC.
